How to resize a photo for the IBPS form

Read the orientation carefully
This is the one to watch. Most Indian exam photos are 3.5 cm wide by 4.5 cm tall — portrait. The IBPS specification is written 4.5 × 3.5, meaning 4.5 cm of width and 3.5 cm of height: a landscape rectangle.
If you take a normal portrait passport photo and force it into 531 × 413, the face is compressed horizontally and stretched vertically — an obvious distortion that gets applications rejected. Crop to a landscape 4.5:3.5 frame first using Crop, then resize.
It is worth double-checking the notice for the post you are applying to. Where a specification is ambiguous, the order in which the numbers are written is width first, then height.
Signature is specified in pixels, not centimetres
Unlike the photograph, the IBPS signature is given directly in pixels: 140 × 60, at 10–20 KB. No dpi conversion is needed — enter those numbers exactly.
That is a very small image, so sign large on plain white paper with a black pen, photograph it square-on in good light, crop tightly to the signature, and only then resize. Photographing a small signature and scaling it up produces a blurry result, because enlarging cannot add detail that was never captured.
