Terms & Conditions
Last updated 15 August 2026. By using ResizeMate you agree to these terms. They are written to be read, not to be impenetrable.
The service
ResizeMate provides free online tools for resizing, compressing, cropping and converting images, and for compressing PDF files. The service is offered at no cost, with no account required.
We may add, change or remove tools at any time, and we do not guarantee that the site will be available without interruption. It is a free service maintained by one developer, not a product with a uptime commitment.
Your files remain yours
You keep all rights to every file you process here. We claim no ownership, licence or interest in your content, and we do not use your files for any purpose whatsoever — including training any system.
For image tools this is structural rather than a promise, since your files never reach us. For PDF compression, your file is processed and deleted as described in the privacy policy.
Acceptable use
You are responsible for the files you process and for having the right to process them. You agree not to use ResizeMate to handle material that is illegal, that infringes someone else's rights, or that depicts the abuse or exploitation of children.
You also agree not to attempt to disrupt the service — for example by automating bulk requests against the PDF compression endpoint, attempting to gain unauthorised access, or interfering with other people's use of the site. We may block access where this occurs.
No warranty
ResizeMate is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that a tool will meet a specific requirement — for instance that a given file can be compressed to a given size, or that output will be accepted by a particular upload form or authority. Where a target cannot be met, the tool tells you so.
Always keep your own copy of an original file before processing it. Image tools here do not modify your original, but you are responsible for your own backups.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ResizeMate and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, profits, or opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Advertising and third-party links
The site may display advertising, and pages may link to third-party websites. We do not control third-party content and are not responsible for it. Your dealings with any advertiser or linked site are between you and them.
Changes and contact
These terms may be updated from time to time; the date above shows the current version, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
